We specialize in custom window treatments including draperies, Roman shades, roller shades, motorized shades, sheers, cornices and much more.
Where is ZCurtains located?
Our main showroom is located in Bellevue, WA, and we serve clients throughout the state of Washington n and other states across the U.S.
Do you have a showroom I can visit?
Yes! You’re welcome to schedule an appointment to visit our showroom and view our full range of fabric options and hardware solutions.
Ordering & Consultations
How do I get started with a custom window treatment project?
You can begin by scheduling a consultation (showroom, or virtual).
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. We provide rough estimates based on your project scope and measurements/photos. Final pricing is confirmed after an in-home visit.
Can I provide my own fabric or hardware?
In some cases, yes. However, we recommend using our tested hardware and fabric to ensure performance, warranty, and quality control.
Measurements & Installation
Do you offer measurement services?
Absolutely. Our team takes accurate, professional measurements to ensure perfect fit and function.
Who handles installation?
ZCurtains provides full-service professional installation. We coordinate everything — you won’t need to hire a third party.
Can I install the window treatments myself?
We typically recommend professional installation for best results, especially with custom and motorized solutions.
Do high ceilings or difficult access affect pricing?
Yes. Extra-high ceilings, difficult mounting conditions, scaffolding, extra-tall ladders, skylights, recessed tracks, or complex access may affect pricing, scheduling, and service availability.
Fabrics & Customization
Can I order fabric swatches?
Yes, if needed, we offer free fabric swatches to help you visualize options in your space.
What level of customization is available?
Nearly every detail can be customized — fabric, lining, fullness, pleat style, hardware finish, operation type, and more.
Do you offer blackout or thermal lining?
Yes, we offer a variety of linings including privacy, blackout, and thermal/insulating options.
Shades & Motorization
Do you offer motorized window treatments?
Yes! We specialize in motorized draperies and shades, including systems compatible with smart home devices. We have even won several national awards in the “Motorized Projects” category.
Can you help program motorized shades?
As a separate service, yes, we can assist you with programming. However, most likely, you probably won’t need it, because the process is very simple. There are clear and detailed programming instructions that will be provided to you along with the project completion package.
Are your fabrics safe for kids and pets?
We offer cordless and motorized options that meet child and pet safety guidelines.
Can ZCurtains coordinate with smart home systems?
Yes, depending on the system and selected products. We can help coordinate motorized shades or draperies with smart home systems, but compatibility must be confirmed with the supplier or integrator before finalizing the order.
Lead Times, Payment & Warranty
What is your lead time?
Standard lead time is 6–8 weeks depending on fabric availability and project complexity.
What is your payment policy?
A 50% deposit is required to begin production. The remaining balance is due prior to installation.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, we provide a limited warranty on workmanship and materials. Motorized components are covered separately under the manufacturer’s warranty.
Maintenance & Care
How should I clean my draperies and shades?
We recommend vacuuming with a soft brush attachment or using a steamer. Some fabrics may be dry-cleaned; please consult your care tag or ask us.
Do you offer maintenance plans?
Yes. We offer an optional ZCurtains White Glove Care Program with Standard (2 Years Coverage) and Premium (3 Years Coverage) options. More detailed information can be found on our website.
Can you help if something breaks after installation?
Of course! Just contact us — we’re happy to evaluate the issue and schedule a service visit if needed.
What is the ZCurtains White Glove Care Program?
It is an optional aftercare service designed to help maintain the appearance, performance, and long-term functionality of custom draperies, shades, tracks, and motorized systems installed by ZCurtains.
How much does the Care Program cost?
Standard Care Program: 2 Years Coverage, starting from $350, typical pricing 5% of project value. Premium Care Program: 3 Years Coverage, starting from $700, typical pricing 7% of project value. Final pricing may vary depending on project size, complexity, motorization, fabric type, and access conditions.
How many maintenance visits are included?
The Standard Program includes 1 complimentary maintenance visit per year. The Premium Program includes up to 2 complimentary maintenance visits per year. Additional visits or services outside the included scope may be billed separately.
Does the Care Program include steaming or fold adjustments?
Light appearance touch-ups and fold adjustments may be included during scheduled maintenance visits. The program does not provide unlimited steaming or unlimited fabric re-shaping requests.
Are batteries or other consumables included?
No. Consumables such as batteries are not included unless specifically stated in writing. Replacement parts, motors, or third-party smart home components may be billed separately or covered by the manufacturer warranty if applicable.
Do blackout fabrics always keep perfect folds?
No. Blackout fabrics are heavier and may be more prone to fold changes over time. Fold retention can be affected by prolonged sun exposure, heat, humidity, and daily use. ZCurtains does not guarantee permanent fold performance for blackout fabrics in high-light environments.
Can you service products not manufactured or installed by ZCurtains?
In some cases, we may be able to evaluate them as a paid service. However, the Care Program applies only to products manufactured and/or installed by ZCurtains unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Shipping, Returns & Policies
Can I return custom window treatments?
Since all of our products are made to order, they are non-refundable. However, we’ll work with you to address any concerns.
Do you ship outside of Washington?
In most cases, yes — we ship across the U.S. Contact us with your location and project details for specifics.
What happens if my order arrives damaged?
Please notify us immediately. We’ll work quickly to resolve any shipping or damage issues.

Do you offer support for interior designers?
Yes, we work closely with designers at every stage — consultation, measurement, fabric selection, technical support, and installation.
Can you participate in large-scale construction or remodeling projects?
Absolutely. We have experience with commercial and residential developments and offer flexible coordination with construction schedules and requirements.
Do you offer trade discounts or wholesale pricing?
Yes, we offer special terms for ongoing partners and large-volume projects.
Can your products be included in a comprehensive design presentation or package?
Definitely. We provide visual materials, specifications, installation diagrams, and support to integrate our products into your overall design concept.
